I hope you all are good and keeping safe.
Recently Lee and I were lucky enough to be invited to visit the Navaho Spur situated in Brackenfell.
It was our first time out at a restaurant since they announced Level 2 of Lockdown and we were very nervous to be out at a restaurant and eating without a mask on.
When we arrived at the restaurant we were politely greeted by the gentleman at the door.
He took our temperatures and sanitised our hands and we also had to fill in all our details on the form provided. Management then escorted us to our demarcated table.
Our waiter was kitted with a mask, face shield and sanitizer in an apron.
I found this very impressive and was pleased that the restaurant was taking extra precautions where necessary.
The waiter then provided us with a paper bag to safely secure our masks while eating.
Each table had its own hand sanitizer and the cutlery was sealed. Once again, management took the extra necessary hygiene protocol for their customers.
For starters I had the buffalo wings & crumbed mushrooms combo which consists of 6 buffalo wings and 100g crumbed mushrooms.
Lee had the Mexicana Nachos smothered in zippy salsa, sticky cheese, chunky cottage cheese and guacamole.
Both starters were delicious but my favourite was the crumbed mushrooms. They had such an incredible depth of flavour.
For mains, I had the 500g Lazy Aged Steak. This dish is definitely one of my favourites and I had been craving a mouth-watering steak during lockdown. The steak was accompanied by some crispy fries and delicious onion rings and then to make my steak extra special, I topped it with pepper sauce.
Lee had the sumptuous 400g lamb chops. He enjoyed his meal and left absolutely nothing behind.
After we had indulged in the starters and our main we drank some Gin & Tonic and some wine and let our stomachs digest some of the food before attempting dessert.
We chose to go half and half with our desserts. I had the Crushed Peppermint Crisp Tart and Lee had the traditional BAR-ONE waffle with ice cream.
The two desserts were definitely a win and surprisingly enough we finished everything.
I must say we honestly had a wonderful experience visiting Navaho Spur. Management and staff were very friendly and helpful and we will definitely make our way back to the restaurant again.
If you wish to visit the restaurant soon, there is no need to worry about anything. Navaho Spur are taking all the necessary measures and protocols to keep everyone safe and happy.
